Wares Fair/Fire Up Fest
 
Every fall one event stands out on campus as "THE ONE" for local businesses to introduce their goods and services to the CMU student market: Wares Fair/Fire Up Fest! 

Central Michigan Life works in partnership with CMU Athletics to present your business to more than 8,000 attendees at the annual Wares Fair/Fire Up Fest. Held at Kelly/Short Stadium, Fair attendees mingle through business booths for approximately two hours before taking their seats for an excitement-generating football "pep rally."

Wares Fair/Fire Up Fest dates change every year, coinciding with the first home football game. Please contact our offices at 989/774-3493 for more information on the 2010 event.

Fill the Finch/CMU Volleyball Season Opener

A new event for 2010, Central Michigan Life in partnership with CMU Athletics offers an opportunity for vendors to exhibit at the home opener of the CMU Women's Volleyball match against Ohio! This promotion is designed not only to sample your wares, but sell them as well. The setting at Finch Fieldhouse will be more intimate. If you were an exhibitor at the Wares Fair/Fire Up Fest, this event is free. If not, there is a small fee to set up a booth. Housing Fairs 

Mount Pleasant area apartment complexes, rental property owners and on-campus housing departments participate in direct marketing opportunities twice a year at Central Michigan University.

Central Michigan Life hosts one event in early-November and a second one in early-February. Each event provides exhibitors an opportunity to set up a booth and meet with students interested in area housing options. Participants also receive copies of "Apartment Life", CM Life's guide to helping students decide where to live.

This successful fairs draw an average of 2,000 students. Please contact our offices at 989/774-3493 for more information on the 2010/2011 dates.

Best of Central Michigan Fair


A new 2011 spring event, Central Michigan Life in partnership with Vision Mid Michigan offers a special "Bribe" event prior to the kick-off of voting for the Best of Central Michigan contest in April. Attendees will be given "Bribe Bags" when they walk in the door, and then will visit vendor tables to pick up coupons, give-aways, samples, etc. Vendors can also sell items at this event. This new show will be heavily promoted by the media partners and is sure to be a fun way to bring attention to your business. Please contact our offices at 989/774-3493 for more information.

Central Michigan International Film Festival 


Central Michigan Life, in partnership with the Film Society at CMU, Celebration Cinema and the CMU College of Communication and Fine Arts, annually sponsors an 8-day festival during the last week of March. 

This film showcase is made of current documentary and feature length foreign and independent films. The annual festival draws more than 4,000 central Michigan area residents, Central Michigan University students, faculty and staff.
